Reviews current literature and reinterprets it to provide more accurate comparisons between Indigenous and non-Indigenous uses of Kava, a psychoactive substance.
Survey conducted from December 2011 to June 2012. Purpose was to monitor HIV and related infections, behaviours, and socio-demographic factors in Aboriginal populations.
Study involved consultations, key informant interviews and a focus group about HIV and/or hepatitis C (HCV) in Indigenous communities. Most responses fell into two broad categories: stigma and discrimination in the context of health care and other settings and concerns about privacy and confidentiality, with a number of sub-themes.

Looks at the relevance of existing asthmas education materials and identifies how these materials could be adapted to better suit the needs of the communities.
Presents findings from analysis of 32 documents produced by 30 municipalities which had an Official Community Plan (OCP) or Housing Strategy in place before January 1, 2015, as well as surveys and interviews conducted with municipal staff.
Provides statistics on number of children in care, and child abuse and neglect; discusses factors contributing to removal and highlights successful programs.
Consists of an interview with George First Rider where he tells the story of the origin of the first Holy Lodge. Provides overview of survey and its strengths, compares data collection and results to other surveys, and gives statistics for four variables: age, labour market activity, education and immigrant status.
Document relies extensively on interviews with workers and professionals in two northern communities, and finds the administration of justice to be cumbersome and inadequate. Recommendations are appropriate systems relative to culture, education and socio-economic reality.
