Buffalo Bill Cody helped found Cody, Wyoming in 1895, and established his TE Ranch in the area. In 1902, he built the Irma Hotel, which he called "just the sweetest hotel that ever was." Buffalo Bill maintained two suites and an office at the hotel for his personal use.Historical note:

Fort Battleford, built in 1876 and in use until 1924, was the sixth Northwest Mounted Police fort to be established in the Northwest Territories of Canada, and played a central role in the events of the Northwest Resistance of 1885.Introduction and letter from Indian Agent dated June 4th, 1895 to his superior regarding abuse taking place at the school. Recommends that a teacher should be brought before the Magistrate, fined, and dismissed.
