A video entitled '1993 Gathering of Elders' was recorded in 1993 by Saskatchewan Education, Training and Employment and shows the activities of the gathering. Camera was by Sam Hardlotte, Glen Markwart and R.J. Morin, narration was by Abel Charles, and post-production was by Sam Hardlotte.Letter sent to the Deputy Minister of Indian Affairs protesting the fact that French is not being taught at the Duck Lake Indian School. States that this is contrary the Act of Union signed in 1840. Translated from the French.
First document is a report written by Kingston, dated July 6, 1928, asks for instructions regarding whether or not participants should be charged given the fact that the event did not appear to violate the Indian Act. Second document is a letter by McCormack, describing ceremonies which took place at Rocky Mountain House and Hobbema, Alberta.
Memorandum written July 20, 1885 by Hayter Reed, Assistant Indian Commissioner to Indian Commissioner, Edgar Dewdney outlining policies appropriate to the post-rebellion era.
