Historical note:
Joan Beatty was the first Aboriginal woman elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature. Prior to this Beatty had a career in journalism and production, as well as management at SaskTel.Black and white photograph of a Blackfoot man on horseback in an extravagant traditional regalia and feathered head-dress, subtitled "Blackfoot Dandy".
Rewritten for the author's The Frontier Trail, published in 1923.
