Primary source for titles was Amazon Best Sellers in Children’s Native Canadian Story Books, as well as publishers' web pages, and library and authors' lists. Objective was to identify fiction books for ages 0-18 written by Indigenous authors that contained reconciliation-related themes. More than 150 books met the inclusion criteria.

The Rocky Mountain Rangers, under Captain Stewart, and the Moose Mountain Scouts, under Captain White, were also put in commission for service during the 1885 Resistance.Includes three case studies: Ininew Friendship Centre, Cochrane, Ontario; St. David Catholic Elementary School, Sudbury, Ontario; Ohero:kon (Under the Husk) at Six Nations of the Grand River; and N’Amerind Friendship Centre, London, Ontario.
