The Edwin Brooks Letters: Part I
Brooks moved from eastern Canada to what is now Indian Head in the spring of 1882; went into partnership in with George P. Murray to form Murray and Brooks, General Merchants, 1883. In 1885 he sat on the jury that found Louis Riel Guilty of High Treason. An edited collection of correspondence published in the Ayrshire Post, and written by William Gibson, a Scottish farmer settled in the Wolseley, SK area.
