Review of 48 documents relating to challenges, priorities and promising practices.
Discuss the training of Indigenous facilitators to use traditional Indigenous medicine in compliment with contemporary treatments to reduce the effects of intergenerational trauma.
Search strategy involved academic databases, search engine queries, targeted website review, and reference tracking. Forty-four sources were located. Definitions of land-based healing, Indigenous and Western frameworks, wise practices, and characteristics of specific programs are discussed.
Examines the use of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research guidelines to guide the collaboration between researchers and Indigenous communities.
Purpose of study was to look at services available in each province and compare them those available in Saskatchewan, highlight gaps in Saskatchewan and make recommendations in light of supports available elsewhere.
