50 images (12 of which have been scanned here) of First Nations leaders speaking to guests at the Bessborough Hotel in Saskatoon on April 22, 1976. Many wear full head dresses. It appears to be a gathering to discuss treaty issues led by Federation of Saskatchewan Indians Chief David Ahenakew.
A photograph taken on August 8, 1933 at the Saskatoon Exhibition of a gathering of pioneers from the 1883-1889 era. Lieutenant Governor Hugh Edwin Munroe is making an address. An Aboriginal woman is seated at the centre, while a group of seven Aboriginal Chiefs in head-dresses stands at the right. There is a full orchestra behind the group and they are all on an elaborately decorated stage.
