The Edwin Brooks Letters: Part I
Brooks moved from eastern Canada to what is now Indian Head in the spring of 1882; went into partnership in with George P. Murray to form Murray and Brooks, General Merchants, 1883. In 1885 he sat on the jury that found Louis Riel Guilty of High Treason. James Morrow Walsh (22 May 1840 - 25 July 1905) was a North West Mounted Police (NWMP) officer and the first Commissioner of the Yukon Territory. Born in Prescott, Ontario, James Walsh was one of the original officers of the NWMP.Lloyd Chief Interview
