Provides overview of the history of rights negotiations and how the roles and responsibilities of Aboriginal governments relate to the territorial government. Includes specific information on each of the negotiations underway with the Inuvialuit, Gwich'in, Sahtu, Dehcho, Acho Dene Koe First Nation, and the Métis.
Purpose of study was to examine historical development of the band, current band structure, and possibilities for future governance. Most information was gathered through survey of residents (both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal).
