Study found that in addition to hemodialysis being life-altering, patients also experienced negative clinical interactions from healthcare providers due to misperceptions about beliefs and behaviours.
In response to the study “Prenatal Care among Mothers Involved with Child Protection Services in Manitoba.” Authors note several biases in the study including: failure to discuss negative stereotypes resulting in differential care, and a disregard of resurgent community-led models of care.
