Pasifika youth (aged 18-25) are interviewed in focus groups in which they express their distress about the diminishing presence of Indigenous language use and preservation, article notes that there is no comprehensive language policy to preserve these languages and that losing them has profound negative effects for the youth of culturally marginalized communities.

Looks at how the intergenerational effects of colonization have produced improved economic, social and political wellbeing of settlers' descendants.

Article summarizes data collected in a Māori evaluation of a Cardiovascular Disease Medications Health Literacy Intervention. Groups findings into three key themes: Whakaaro:fluidity of understanding, building patient knowledge and relationships; Tūrangatira: presence; Whanaungatanga: building relationships.

Contends that it is most likely that Māori people carry a disproportionate burden of pain due to other health disparities.

Looks at the disparities in health which are compounded by discriminatory attitudes and behaviours of clinicians.
