Cross-Faculty Inquiry in Education Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of British Columbia, 2009.

Findings were found to be quite similar in Canada and Australia with renal disease increasing progressively with increasing age.

Looks at the research in eight domains that influence Aboriginal learning outcomes; the implications for policy in each of these domains; and examines a set of ten policy recommendations to strengthen the success of Aboriginal learners across the system.

Academic and grey literature review conducted on: key issues; principles and desired outcomes; recent historical programs and policies; program and policy recommendations; and international program and policy examples. Options were then examined to determine whether they aligned with principles and desired outcomes, as well as feasibility and viability in current social context.
