Historical note:

The Francois-Finlay Post was the first "pedlar" post on the Saskatchewan River was a combined effort of François Le Blanc, a veteran of the La Vérendrye family's 1740's expeditions, and James Finlay, a Scottish-born businessman. Located just about 150 kilometres east of Prince Albert, below Finlay's Falls near present-day Nipawin, Saskatchewan, the stockaded post was the focus of 20th century archeological excavations.

A photograph of First Nations people in traditional garb at a ceremony to celebrate the giving of a totem pole to the City of Prince Albert, 1975. Drummers and dancers (one adult and one child) are shown in the photograph. The pole was carved by a First Nations man originally from British Columbia, and currently stands along the North Saskatchewan River near the Prince Albert Historical Museum.

This file contains correspondence and two photographs showing the Duck Lake, Saskatchewan home of Charlie Lovilette, police scout. On backs of photographs: "Duck Lake Sask. / Charlie Lovilettes house / Built in 1891 or 1892 / Police Scout." The letter is from the Glenbow-Alberta Institute returning the photographs to Harold Nelson Woodsworth, who was then stationed in Ottawa.

Historical note:

Harold Nelson Woodsworth served as an Indian Agent at a number of agencies in Saskatchewan.
