Discusses a blockade by members of Grassy Narrows First Nation, which began in 2002 at Slant Lake in northwestern Ontario, to protest industrial clear-cutting.

Native Studies Thesis (M.A.)--The University of Manitoba, 2004. Explores concept of self-government with Cree Elders in northern Manitoba and discusses a Framework Agreement Initiative of the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs.

Groups included: Blackfoot, Crow, Fort Belknap Reservation, Little Shell Chippewa, Northern Arapaho, and Northern Cheyenne.

Argues that there is a direct relationship between classroom study of First Nation literature and the transformation of mainstream culture and images of Aboriginal cultures.

Commentary on the assertions that the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) and other Native American confederacies helped shape ideas of democracy the early U.S. and Europe.

Committee was formed as a result of the report First Nations Representation on Ontario Juries (the Iacobucci Report) which looked at underrepresentation of on-reserve individuals on Ontario's provincial jury rolls as well as systemic issues in the justice system. Natural Resources and Environmental Studies Thesis (M.A.)--University of Northern British Columbia, 2005.

Maps include statistics on incidence, number newly diagnosed per 100 individuals, and skin and soft tissue complications in four regions: Moose Factory, Southern Ontario, Sioux Lookout, and Thunder Bay as well as for the province as a whole.

Investigates the prevalence of diabetes, finding adult females with Saulteaux or Sioux ancestry and living on southern reserves are more likely to run the risk of developing diabetes.
