Adipokines and Incident Type 2 Diabetes in an Aboriginal Canadian Population: The Sandy Lake Health and Diabetes Project

Investigation into adiponectin, leptin, C-reactive protein, interleukin 6, and serum amyloid A, individually or in combinations, and finding that low baseline adiponectin is associated with increased risk of incident type 2 diabetes independent of leptin, C-reactive protein, interleukin 6, serum amyloid A, and obesity.
