The Aboriginal defendant, from Ville LaSalle, Quebec, was found with a radio apparatus installed in his automobile without any permit or license, in contravention of Section 5 of The Radio Act, 2 Georges VI, Chapter 50 of the Statutes of Canada (1938).

Also considers conflicting perspectives on enfranchisement within the First Nations community.
