Analyzes what makes Aboriginal protests unique, law enforcement's ability to deal with conflicts given the issues involved, the Ontario Provincial Police's Framework for Police Preparedness for Aboriginal Critical Incidents and role that First Nations' police might play in improving relations.
Participants discussed issues related to consultation and equality and then identified a number of specific directions to guide future actions and interventions. Roundtable held March 30-April 1, 2000.
Used data collected from a survey of 41 individuals and 37 participants in focus groups. Covers topics such access to law school, educational experience, practice of law and the judiciary.
