Participants Jane Jackson and Helen Mills discuss post-secondary education concerns (including literacy, upgrading, poverty, and employment issues) with Commissioners Sillett and Wilson. Following the Round Table discussion is a closing prayer which concludes the day's sitting of the Royal Commission.
File contains a presentation by Allan Shiff. He discusses his perspective on the Commission as a non-Aboriginal man who is concerned for the issues facing Aboriginal Canadians. Shiff discusses the need for the Commission to take action with regards to unacceptable living standards in Aboriginal communities, and states that he thinks most non-Aboriginal people are supportive of such efforts. Shiff also discusses the need for accountability in projects to ensure they maintain public support. Following Shiff's presentation are comments by Blakeney and Wilson with regard to these issues.

Nadjiwon-Johnson, a small business owner from the Walpole Island First Nation, discusses a "number of issues affecting myself and other Native small business owners." These include taxation, economic development initiatives, caisse populaires (credit unions), janitorial and personal services, Aboriginal rights (treaty, hunting, fishing, etc.) advocacy, and human resources issues. Following the presentation Commissioners Erasmus and Chartrand discuss some of the issues raised with Nadjiwon-Johnson.

Haggerty discusses the Canadian Executive Services Organization, a non-profit, non-governmental organization with the mandate to provide volunteers as consultants to support the development and management of the Aboriginal businesses and communities in Canada, and of the business and social sectors of developing countries around the world.
File contains a presentation by President Dick MacKenzie of the Sioux Lookout Chamber of Commerce. MacKenzie discusses a pilot project for Aboriginal participation and interaction with the Chamber of Commerce. Commissioner Chartrand discusses the project with MacKenzie, after which the other assembled Commissioners offer comments and thanks. Following this MP Robert Nault offers thanks to the day's participants, and Charles Fox and Stan Beardy make closing remarks to end the day's sitting.

Turner outlines three reasons why it is becoming increasingly difficult to make a living off the land: the activities of animal rights groups who oppose trapping, the activities of sport hunting groups who oppose subsistence rights to hunt, and the development of hydroelectric projects which negatively impact habitat. Turner then goes on to discuss how Aboriginal people have increasingly adopted European values and look with disdain upon trapping as a career choice.

Martin discusses his position as an Aboriginal person and Mayor, the changing demographics of the town, his personal background, the Wataway Native Communications Society, self-governance issues, education and the difficulty of separating non-Aboriginal and Aboriginal issues in a mixed town like Sioux Lookout, cultural education and race relations, the local friendship centre, Aboriginal language curriculum.
